CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN
Prof. Khalid Al Ansari MD, FRCP-C, FAAP (PEM) is the inaugural Chairman of the Sidra Medicine Emergency Department that sees more than 110,000 children under the age of 18 years annually, including those seen as a level 1 Trauma Center: More than 1000 Tier 1 and 2 patients annually. Prof. Al Ansari is the founder of National Poison Center and the founder of the Child Advocacy Program in Qatar. He is also the Chairman of the Sidra wide Hospital Resuscitation Program. Prof. Al Ansari's extensive expertise in Emergency Medicine, Acute Medical Care has helped him transform the delivery of Pediatric Emergency services to patients in Qatar. He is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at Weil Cornell Medical College-Qatar and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Qatar University. His research interest are in emergency respiratory diseases, gastroenteritis, pediatric sedation and child abuse in Qatar. He is the Chairman of IRB Qatar Biomedical Bank, Chairman of MOPH National Child Protection Committee and member of National Disaster Committee.

Dr. Syed Haris Huda has worked at Sidra Medicine since January 2019 as an Attending Physician. His particular interest is in dealing with and managing Trauma and Acute medical /surgical emergencies in the Adult and pediatric population. He is presently the Education Lead for the emergency medicine department. Over the years, he has demonstrated success in transformative initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency as the Lead for Minor injuries in Emergency medicine at Sidra Medicine and Associate program director for the PEM fellowship program. He is the chairperson for the Pediatric Emergency Resuscitation Program (PERP) and Instructor in ACLS, PALS, APLS & ATLS life support courses. He is a faculty member at Weil Cornell Medicine in Qatar. During his career, he has led and managed Mass casualties and Bomb blast victims as well. He is particularly interested in Medical education & teaches junior colleagues, peers and Nursing colleagues. To excel in providing for his role as an Educator, he completed his fellowship in Adult & Medical education from the American College of Emergency Physician.

Professor Guillaume Alinier, PhD, has an academic career spanning over 25 years, with a special interest in simulation-based healthcare education for which he received a UK National Teaching Fellowship award from the Higher Education Academy in 2006. He was part of the team that helped establish various components of the ECMO training programme in Qatar and led the development of innovative ECMO simulation education technology. He is Director of Research at Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service, Doha, Qatar but also holds visiting professorships with the Universities of Hertfordshire and Northumbria in the UK, as well as being Adjunct Professor of Education in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. He has contributed to important publications and initiatives led by key healthcare simulation societies such as the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, the Society for Simulation Applied to Medicine, the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare, and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and has also published two books on debriefing and numerous journal articles. https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=9SMHCwEAAAAJ. Dr Muthukumar Sakthivel (Kumar) is an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency at Sidra Medicine. His qualifications include MBBS, MD, PG Dip in Neurodisability, FRCPCH. He completed post graduate training at Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College, India and higher specialist training from North Western Deanery, UK. He was working as a consultant at Paediatric Assessment Unit, Emergency Department at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust from 2011-2017. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar. He is the chair person for POCUS scientific committee and PALS instructor.
